Animal feed in the EU: understanding the rules to better grasp opportunities

The aim of this training course is to introduce or validate the knowledge of any feed business operator wishing to learn more about the regulations governing animal feed in Europe. You will find all the information you need to better understand the constraints and opportunities involved in marketing a product that complies with the regulations.

Presentation

An overview of regulatory texts applicable to the feed sector is presented. Once the regulatory framework has been established, the requirements and procedures for placing on the market feed are described. The rules governing composition, labelling and communication are presented, and the main related difficulties are addressed. Time is also devoted to discussing the main differences between the FOOD and FEED regulations. All these theoretical elements are backed up by case studies.

Means and modalities

The training will be done through the Teams videoconference tool (a link will be sent to the participants before the training to access it). The training material will be presented (PowerPointw hich will also be sent electronically), alternating presentations and discussions with the trainers. An electronic version of the pedagogical documentation will be provided prior to the training so that the user can print or download it before the training begins.

Evaluation of knowledge to be completed at the end of the online course. The trainee will receive a training certificate.
